Job summary

UCHealth is seeking a Radiography - X Ray Technologist for a PRN float position at Quincy Medical Center and other clinics in the Denver area, including Steele Ranch and Castle Rock. The role includes performing radiographic imaging, reviewing orders, and ensuring patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced environment.

Eligible candidates hold ARRT registration, state licensure if required, and BLS certification, with the chance to advance through a clinical ladder.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
  • Registered ARRT (R) in Radiologic Technology.
  • BLS certification required and valid through start date.

Responsibilities

  • Provides radiographic imaging and procedures per physician orders with patient education.
  • Models and supports a multidisciplinary team approach to ensure high-quality imaging and safety.
  • Precepts new staff and students to promote imaging best practices and UCHealth standards.
  • Performs image acquisition with attention to image quality and equipment function per AART guidelines.

This is a float position and requires the ability to work at the following clinics: Quincy, Steele, Sterling Ranch, Castle Rock
This role offers a clinical ladder for promotion. to progress from a Level I to Level II practitioner. Clinical ladders support enhanced professional development, provide a reward system for excellence in clinical performance, promote high-quality practice, and enhance overall job satisfaction among participants. The clinical ladder provides meaningful opportunities to enhance confidence for healthcare professionals in direct patient care roles.
Pay: $27.61 - $41.41 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Float pool differential will apply as will weekend differential.
Relocation bonus may apply for qualified candidates
Minimum Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (R) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R). Specialty ARRT certification(s) if required for position. State licensure if required by law. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.

Radiography - X Ray Technologist

  • Reviews patient history, initiates Radiographic images based on physician order and prioritizes procedural patient education to ensure mutual understanding and cooperation
  • Safely administers contrast media or associated imaging medications while monitoring patient condition
  • Responds and reports changes in patient condition as appropriate
  • implements techniques to yield clarity in image, quality control and equipment functionality based on established best practices in Radiology (AART)
