Job summary

Firelands Health is seeking a Radiologic Tech for a full-time, on-site position at the Sandusky campus. The role involves operating hospital imaging systems, preparing patients, and ensuring quality image capture across diverse settings.

Ideal candidates are ARRT registered, Ohio-licensed radiographers who hold CPR certification. On-the-job training will advance you toward CT tech responsibilities with a strong focus on patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of formal radiologic technology training program in an approved school.
• Must be ARRT registered and licensed by the State of Ohio (ODH) as Radiographer.
• Both ARRT registry and ODH license required to be kept active.
• ARRT and ODH license required within 60 days of hire; cannot work independently before requirements are met.
• Must be CPR certified and recertified bi-annually.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
• Ability to assist with patient transfers and positioning as needed.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve information, export images, review images, verify data in HIS/RIS/PACS.
• Process exam requisitions and enter data into RIS after exams.
• Explain procedures to patients and prepare rooms and imaging materials.
• Position patients for all views and adjust as needed for patient cooperation.
• Prepare contrast media for x-rays and operate imaging equipment.
• Monitor patient and equipment, adjust exposure parameters per patient needs.
• Perform imaging across main department, off-site locations, surgery, and portable settings.
• Teach clinical affiliate students and assist with clerical/front-office duties.
