Qualifications

• Graduate of a JCERT-accredited program in radiologic technology.
• California radiographer license required on hire.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association).
• Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT) on hire.
• Competency in at least two radiologic modalities; cross-training may be offered.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures with proper anatomy and positioning to obtain optimal images.
• Review orders to ensure the correct exam is performed.
• Explain examinations to patients to improve cooperation and reduce anxiety.
• Maintain clean, orderly work areas and ready equipment before each exam.
• Assess image quality and ensure data integrity and documentation.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and policies for a safe environment.

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions. Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction. To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

• Performs all radiographic procedures with a sound understanding of anatomy, physiology, positioning to produce optimal results
• Reviews physician orders and relevant clinical information to assure the appropriate exam is being obtained for the patient
• Reviews and explains the examination with the patient to assure optimal cooperation and relieve patient anxiety
• Maintains work areas in clean and orderly condition and ensures that examination areas are properly supplied, equipped and operational before each examination
• Checks the quality of images/scans in general and is responsible for the data and quality control of work performed
• Understands safety goals, radiation safety guidelines and appropriate policies and procedures to assure a safe environment for the patient

Required

• Other Graduate of a JCERT accredited school of radiologic technology and, upon hire and

• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and (Must be through the American Heart Association)
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire and
• Performs at least two radiologic modalities, including the primary modality of the specified department, upon hire
• In the absence of qualified applicants, candidates that do not have competency within the primary clinical modality specified may be considered for cross-training into a vacant position, at the discretion of departmental leadership

Preferred

• Two years acute care experience, upon hire
