Job summary

National Polytechnic College is seeking a Radiologic Technologist Clinical Coordinator to deliver both clinical and didactic instruction and evaluate student performance. The role prepares students for externships and professional certification while ensuring compliance with state and national standards.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree, two years of radiography experience, and active CDPH-RHB and ARRT credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or CHEA.
• CDPH-RHB certifications: CRT, Fluoroscopy Permit, CPR/BLS, ARRT registration.
• Minimum of two years of full radiography experience in a hospital or outpatient imaging setting.
• Advanced certifications in CT or Mammography are a plus.
• Experience in curriculum development and instructional technology is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on lab instruction on campus and remote lectures as needed.
• Monitor and report equipment needs and repairs to the Program Director.
• Ensure RT students meet all requirements for clinical rotations and provide remedial support when necessary.
• Coordinate distribution and tracking of dosimetry badges and quarterly radiation reports.
• Manage and distribute student safety documentation and assist in distributing x-ray lab markers.
• Supervise students at clinical sites, ensuring compliance with ARRT competencies and state regulations.
• Collaborate with Career Services to align clinical rotations with ARRT requirements.
• Identify and secure new clinical externship sites; maintain organized clinical sites databases.
• Assist the RT Program director with Sites Approval Applications and documentation.
• Conduct site visits and maintain relationships with clinical partners (local travel; mileage/gas/parking reimbursed).
• Communicate regularly with clinical preceptors regarding student performance and concerns.
• Utilize clinical competency tracking systems to monitor progress.
• Support public relations efforts to promote the college and expand clinical partnerships.
• Adhere to institutional policies and participate in faculty meetings and professional development.
