Cedars-Sinai is seeking a Radiologic Intervention Technologist to join a team of vascular surgeons in an outpatient setting. You will perform interventional radiography and fluoroscopy, scrub and circulate during procedures, and ensure sterile technique and patient safety throughout exams.

The role involves imaging QA/QC, equipment coordination, and potential rotation across modalities. Strong focus on high-quality patient care and collaboration within an advanced imaging environment.

Qualifications

• Vocational/Technical Diploma in Radiologic Technology is required.
• 1 year of Interventional Radiography experience required.
• CA CRT license/certification upon hire is required or preferred.
• ARRT certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform interventional radiography, diagnostic fluoroscopy, and general radiography procedures.
• Circulate and scrub to assist physicians during procedures with sterile field setup and instrument handling.
• Manage interventional supplies inventory and order processing.
• Perform post-procedure 3D reconstruction as needed.
• Assist with pre-ops, SOPs, triage, and patient safety education.

The Radiologic Intervention Technologist position provides the crucial service of working alongside top-tier vascular surgeons, scrubbing into advanced minimally invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures. The Radiologic Intervention Technologist will

• Perform sophisticated diagnostic and Vascular/Non-Vascular Interventional procedures such as Interventional Radiography, diagnostic fluoroscopy and diagnostic general radiography (x-Ray) procedures.
• Circulates and scrubs in to assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures. This includes preparing and discarding the supplies and medications needed on a sterile field, loading biopsy and other interventional devices, and ensuring that the sterile field is not contaminated.
• Perform inventory management and process ordering of interventional supplies.
• Perform post process sophisticated 3D reconstruction
• Assists in performing Pre-Ops, SOP’s and properly triages patient’s pre-procedure
• Performs venipunctures, draws specimens and maintains proficiencies.
• Acquires patient questionnaire, chart, data/requisition and reviews all to determine contraindication of having an Interventional examination. Ensures patients' comfort and safety during and after the exam and educates patients regarding procedures and equipment.
• Acquires, archives, transmits and prints images via PACS. When applicable, completes after hours transmission of images and appropriate paperwork
• Coordinates accurate contrast related to patient having an IR exam
• Maintains available equipment up-time at the highest level for patient accessibility. Immediately reports any malfunctions; observes potential equipment dysfunctions and reports problems or calls for service
• May be required to rotate through all imaging modalities, sites, and/or locations
• Perform Imaging equipment QA/QC and perform PACS/RIS QC
• Train other staff members
• Assist with scheduling of patients as needed
• Actively participates in special projects and process improvement

Qualifications

Education:

• Vocational/Technical Diploma, Completion of Radiologic Technology program approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required

Work Experience:

• 1 year Experience in Interventional Radiography required
• 2 years Experience in Interventional Radiography preferred

Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
• Imaging CA Radiologic Tech Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT)- CA State License. Upon Hire required
• Imaging CA Radiologic Tech State of California CRT Fluoroscopy Permit Upon Hire required
• Imaging CA Radiologic Tech American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred
