Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform imaging procedures in accordance with department standards and organizational policies. You will ensure image quality, safety, and patient education while working within a dynamic imaging team.

The role requires ARRT certification and a Florida radiography license, BLS, and willingness to travel between MHS Women’s Imaging Centers. Nights shift responsibilities and on-call duties are expected.

Qualificações

• Accredited Radiology program required; ARRT certification and BLS are required.
• Active Radiography Certificate from the State of Florida required; ARRT exam eligibility.
• Must be willing to travel to all Memorial Healthcare System Women’s Imaging Centers.

Responsabilidades

• Position patient and perform imaging procedures.
• Analyze images and assess quality; adjust exposure factors as needed.
• Prepare equipment and supplies; follow safety standards and QC procedures.
• Review patient history and physician orders; educate patient about procedures.
• Assume on-call shifts as required; document exam codes and charges.
• Administer contrast media or medications within scope when ordered.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to changes promptly.

Summary

Performs various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).
• Analyzes images and identifies issues with the quality of images.
• Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure if clinically appropriate.
• Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
• Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
• Takes on call shift responsibilities as required by the department.
• Prepares equipment and supplies.
• Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
• Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
• Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
• Charges appropriately for all supplies used for procedure and utilizes appropriate exam codes.
• When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
• Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.

Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: No prior work experience required. Other Information: Must possess an active Radiography Certificate from the State of Florida and must take the ARRT(R) examination. If hired to support Women Imaging: Candidate must obtain (M) Certification within 1 year. Upon successful completion of the certification, a 2-year contract will commence. Candidate must be flexible to travel to all MHS Women’s Imaging Centers.
