Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Portland, Oregon seeks a Lead position responsible for promoting teamwork and continuous improvement. You will assist with budget items, shipments, process control issues and cross training, and coordinate with various departments to maintain throughput.

This role involves working with ITAR/EAR controlled processes and may require U.S. export controls compliance. Open to Radiographers and Radiologic Evaluators, with focus on safety, quality, and timely production.

Qualifications

• Willing to adjust shift to meet production needs (as required by team and through-put).
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally to ensure instructions are understood.
• Ability to make shop floor presentations to customers, engineering, and other departments.
• See department qualifications which may or may not be shift specific.
• Incumbents with excessive absenteeism or inability to perform required functions may be dismissed from lead position.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize work and shift setup based on thru-put requirements.
• Participate in staffing projections.
• Coordinate scheduling of overtime and vacation per policy.
• Provide objective input for project team builds and performance reviews.
• Coordinate with TATS trainer to improve performance.
• Move resources between areas to meet daily throughput and support other departments.
• Maintain harassment-free work environment and prevent favoritism.
• Record daily attendance and verify accuracy with the team.
• Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping, and company policies.
• Meet lead position expectations as defined by supervision.
• Other duties as assigned.
