Job summary

Passaic County Community College seeks a Part-time Radiography Instructor to provide didactic instruction and supervise radiography students during clinical assignments in Paterson, New Jersey.

Qualifications

• Current New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Diagnostic Radiography license.
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography
• Minimum 2 years experience as diagnostic radiographer.
• Teaching in a clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical site orientation at the clinical education center.
• Track student clinical progress and provide feedback to students in a timely manner.
• Supervise radiography students performing patient care tasks in the clinical setting.
• Equitably prepare a semester schedule of room assignments that provide students with the opportunity to meet clinical objectives.
• Provide direct or indirect supervision of students performing radiography procedures.
• Prepare, discuss, and submit a signed midterm and final evaluation of each student on the specified due date each semester.
• Conduct image evaluation sessions with students following performance of radiographic procedures.
• Maintain electronic clinical competency records for all students.
• Enforce program and clinical education center policies equitably and consistently.
• Alert students and program officials of any clinical deficiencies and conduct conference with the student to address the deficiency, through mechanisms established by the program.
• Integrate classroom and clinical experiences.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.

Compensation: Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The hourly pay for this position is $50.

• New Jersey Sick Leave: Earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked with a maximum of 40 hours of leave per benefit year. (Eligible to use after successful completion of probationary period.)
