Job summary

WellSpan Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for the York Imaging Center to perform routine diagnostic, technical, and special procedures. The candidate will engage with patients, ensure their comfort, and maintain high standards of care while adhering to safety protocols.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED and necessary certifications upon hire. Ideal applicants should be familiar with digital imaging technology and be ready to work in Day/Evening shifts across off-site locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Certification as Registered Technologist-Radiography upon hire.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine radiographic examinations and address patient concerns.
• Schedule cases coordinating with other examinations.
• Practicing safety and immobilization of patients.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic examinations, obtains patient history, explains routine procedures, and addresses patient concerns.
• Performs diagnostic procedures in one of the following specialty areas at a beginner level: operating room procedures (includes overhead, fluoroscopic and C‑arm procedures), complex portables, or trauma procedures.
• Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations.
• Positions and transfers patients safely and comfortably and explains basic procedure.
• Immobilizes patients as necessary and practices radiation safety procedures.
• Properly processes images using digital technology.
• Evaluates recorded images for technical quality; consistently maintains a repeat rate under 6%.
• Participates in and collaborates with other departments on projects to improve care and efficiency as needed.
