Job summary

WellSpan Health is seeking a CT Radiology Technologist (PRN, as needed) to perform routine and specialized CT procedures at an advanced skill level. The role requires ARRT or NMTCB certification, BLS, and an accredited CT program.

You will work under physician supervision, perform contrast administration, and ensure patient safety and accurate documentation. This PRN position supports scheduling and collaboration with the radiology team, including on-call coverage.

Qualifications

  • 2 years related experience.
  • ARRT CT certification or NMTCB certification upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.
  • Accredited program in radiologic technology and CT training upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Performs CT Scan radiology studies; obtains patient history, explains procedures and addresses concerns.
  • Administers intravenous contrast media under physician supervision; recognizes and treats reactions.
  • Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations.
  • Positions and transfers patients.
  • Implements radiation safety procedures and documentation.
  • On-call technologist; trains new staff; CT specialty exam per ARRT requirements.
  • Performs Radiographer duties as needed.
  • Maintains written documentation as required by department.

Performs routine and specialized CT radiologic procedures at an advanced skills level. Performs procedures to produce computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas according to established practices and procedures.

Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs CT Scan Radiology studies; obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns.
  • Under the direct supervision of the physician, administers intravenous contrast media. Recognizes complications (e.g., contrast reaction) and treats appropriately.
  • Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations.
  • Positions and transfers patients comfortably.
  • Immobilizes patients as necessary and practices radiation safety procedures.
  • Performs duties as on call technologist. Trains new staff. Has passed the CT specialty exam as per ARRT.
  • Performs the duties of Radiographer as needed.
  • Prepares and maintains written documentation as required by the profession and the department.

Work Experience
  • 2 years Related experience. Required
Licenses
  • Registered Technologist-Computed Tomography - ARRT Upon Hire Required or
  • Certified in Computed Tomography - NMTCB Upon Hire Required and
  • Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
Courses And Training
  • Accredited program in radiologic technology and training in computer tomography procedures. Upon Hire Required
