Job summary

Corewell Health at Lakeland Hospital Niles is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform routine diagnostic and fluoroscopic procedures, conforming to physicians’ orders while prioritizing patient comfort and safety.

You will protect patients using ALARA principles, assist with contrast administration, verify patient history, and ensure imaging data is correctly archived in PACS. This is a full-time day shift role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent years of experience in related field.
• Preferred Bachelor’s Degree.
• CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT Upon Hire required.
• CRT-BLS (AHA) - 90 Days required Or CRT-BLS (ARC) 90 Days required.

Responsibilities

• Performs general diagnostic radiological and fluoroscopic procedures using standardized positioning and ALARA concepts to maximize patient safety.
• Protects patients from undue exposure to radiation using lead shields and safety factors.
• Prepares and assists in administering contrast agents by monitoring dosage and checking for allergies; ensures compliance with policies.
• Maintains imaging equipment and notifies management of malfunctions; assists in quality assurance.
• Completes proper patient identification and order verification; prepares patients and provides instructions to obtain desired results.
• Verifies patients’ clinical history to aid the licensed practitioner.
• Evaluates images and data for technical quality and uploads to PACS with proper identification.
• Follows established protocols; works under supervision and resolves routine problems.
