Job summary

Saint Michael's Medical Center in Newark, NJ, is seeking a Per Diem Radiologic Technologist to perform Diagnostic Radiographic, CT, Mammography, and related procedures following department protocols.

The role interfaces with customers, participates in PI/QC activities, and supports equipment and supplies management and PACS transmission. ARRT-credited program graduate and state licensure required.

Qualifications

• State licensure and fluoroscopy permit required.
• National certifications in two modalities required.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Familiar with State and Federal regulations.
• One year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferred.
• Graduate of an ARRT-accredited program.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the first line interface with customers and meets imaging needs.
• Participates in PI/QC activities and assists in Performance Improvement.
• Oversees radiology area and staff in Manager/Director absence.
• Maintains supplies, schedules sub-departments, and transmits images to PACS.

Responsibilities

Performs Diagnostic Radiographic, Cat Scan, Mammography, Bone Density, Ultra Sound or Special Procedures according to department protocols. Functions as the first line interface with customers and is successful in the accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in PI/ QC activities. Assists in Maintaining Performance Improvement Program. Oversees radiology area and/or staff in Manager's / Director's absence. Maintains department supplies. Promotes teamwork and good customer service. Does scheduling for assigned sub departments and maintains supplies and equipment for assigned sub department. Responsible for Processing and transmission of Images to PACS.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
• Effective July 1, 2017appropriate national certifications in two modalities required
• Current BCLS (AHA).
• Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations.
• One year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferred
• Graduate of a program accredited by ARRT
• Proficient computer skills.

Pay Transparency

Saint Michaels Medical Center offers competitive compensation and the current compensation range for this role is $48.57. Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
