Job summary

Texas Health Plano is hiring a Radiographer (RAD Tech) for full-time days at our Plano, TX location. You will work in a fast-paced radiology department performing fluoroscopy, OR and trauma exams with a collaborative radiologist group.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT certification, and BCLS. Prior radiologic technologist experience is preferred; TDH/TMB requirements apply upon hire.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology upon hire required or
  • Associate's Degree preferred
  • 1 Year radiologic technologist experience preferred
  • GMRT - General Medical Radiologic Technologist Either by the TDH or TMB upon hire required
  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

Responsibilities

  • Explain procedures to patient or guardian/family member if applicable prior to exam
  • Position patient to correct anatomical area of interest
  • Perform complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations
  • Adjust technique parameters appropriately for age related factors
  • Assist radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique
  • Maintain attention to details
  • Process and manipulate images, analyzes image quality, troubleshoots, make technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed
  • Utilize proper downtime procedures for PACS and HIS / RIS
  • Correctly send and transfer images to PACS
  • Print laser images from modality or PACS
  • Coordinate with Centralized Scheduling and other modalities

Work hours: Part Time, 16 Hours; Tuesday & Thursday, 7:30am - 4:00pm

Here’s What You Need
