Job summary

ACHE seeks a PRN Radiographer to perform routine and specialized diagnostic radiologic procedures under general supervision across multiple locations.

Requires an Associate degree (or certificate) in radiologic technology, ARRT registration, and MD state radiographer licensure, plus Basic Life Support. The role includes ongoing training and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Required Associate degree or Certificate in radiologic technology from an accredited program.
  • ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology.
  • Licensed Radiographer - State of MD.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.
  • No experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and specialized diagnostic radiologic procedures.
  • Select accurate technical factors for each patient, ensuring appropriate care.
  • Apply radiology principles, including anatomy, physiology, radiation protection, and positioning.
  • Document patient care activities in electronic health records and maintain safety standards.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives and staff training.

Job Summary

Under general supervision, performs routine and specialized diagnostic radiologic procedures.


Primary Responsibilities


  • The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job responsibilities performed.

  • Executes basic clinical competence in general radiology including fluoroscopy, in all locations across all patient types.

  • Selects accurate technical factors on an individual patient basis and demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age of the patient.

  • Applies knowledge of r adiology principles and practices, including anatomy and physiology, radiation protection and physics, radiographic positioning and patient care skills.

  • Adheres to Joint Commission, State, Federal and departmental regulatory compliance standards.

  • Documents accurate patient care activity in various electronic health records systems.

  • Ensures a safe and appropriate work environment.

  • Maintains supplies and inventory in area.

  • Informs appropriate colleague when supplies need to be ordered from outside vendors.

  • Documents and reports related equipment/environmental problems in accordance with policy.

  • Actively participates in departmental and organizational performance improvement initiatives and efforts to improve workflows, patient experience and quality.

  • Actively participates in student and employee training and educational activities.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned.


Work Experience Education & Experience


  • Required Associate degree, or Certificate, in radiologic technology from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education (USDE) or Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)

  • No Experience Required

  • Registered with American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT)

  • Licensed Radiographer - State of MD

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification
