Job summary

Texas Health Resources seeks a Radiographer for a fast-paced, high-volume clinic in Melissa, TX. This full-time role requires 40 hours weekly with set shifts, offering a signing bonus for eligible candidates and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is REQUIRED.
• Completion of an AART-approved Limited Radiologic Technology Education Program is REQUIRED.
• Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology is PREFERRED.
• One year of Clinical Radiologic Technology experience is PREFERRED.
• BCLS upon hire is REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Produce and perform diagnostic radiographs as directed by the physician or radiologist.
• Position patients and adjust equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
• Examine radiology films and digital exams for density, contrast, definition, and distortion.
• Maintain radiographic log and document exams, patient names, and retake reasons.
• Follow safety, radiation protection, and patient care guidelines.

Work hours: Full -Time, 40 hours weekly; Monday - Thursday (730am - 5pm), Fridays (730am - 2pm) ... times are subject to change

Here’s What You Need

• High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
• Completion of an AART-approved Limited Radiologic Technology Education Program (REQUIRED)
• Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology (PREFERRED)
• One year of Clinical Radiologic Technology experience (PREFERRED)
• BCLS upon hire (REQUIRED)

What You Will Do

• Produce and perform diagnostic radiographs procedures, to be interpreted by the physician or radiologist
• Take X-Rays of various portions of the body in order to diagnosis disease or injury; positions patients and adjusts equipment for taking diagnostic images flowing established procedures
• Examines radiology film and/or digital exams for properties such as density and contracts, definition, magnification and distortion
• Maintains radiographic log, in accordance with the policy, taking responsibility for documentation of exam, patient’s name, and/or retake reason
• Follows principles of safety, radiation protection , and the general comfort and care of the patient
