Job summary

Naples Comprehensive Health - NCH is seeking a dedicated Radiographer to join the Radiology North Naples team in Naples, FL. The Radiographer will produce high-quality radiographic images, position patients, and ensure safety and accuracy across diagnostic procedures.

The role requires ARRT R certification, Florida CRT licensure, and a valid BLS credential. Responsibilities include operating PACS and Epic, maintaining equipment, and supporting staff and students in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

  • High School or GED required.
  • Completed Radiologic Technology Program from an approved school.
  • Registered with ARRT in Radiography (R).
  • Florida licensure as CRT is required.
  • BLS certification from ARC or AHA is required.
  • Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with hospital IT systems.

Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality radiographic images with proper positioning and markers.
  • Work independently to perform diagnostic procedures with minimal exposure.
  • Conduct routine and fluoroscopy procedures using digital radiography equipment.
  • Maintain efficient pacing to meet department standards and minimize repeats.
  • Demonstrate safety practices for patients, staff, and self.
  • Operate and troubleshoot PACS, Powershare, Epic systems.
  • Ensure regular maintenance of x-ray equipment and report service issues.
  • Assist with training new hires and student radiographers.

Job Summary
The Radiographer is responsible for producing high-quality radiographic images through knowledge of radiologic sciences and patient care following guidelines set by NCH, ARRT, and the State of Florida Department of Health.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Other duties may be assigned.
  • Produces images which demonstrate a thorough knowledge of radiographic technique (collimation, ID markers and patient demographics), anatomical positioning, equipment performance, and department positioning.
  • Work independently to perform high-quality diagnostic procedures with minimal exposure to self, staff, visitors, and patients.
  • Conducts routine and specialized diagnostic and fluoroscopy procedures using digital radiography equipment
  • Perform examinations efficiently with a repeat rate consistent with department standards.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of film critique sufficient to repeat films when indicated without direction.
  • Technologist demonstrates proper radiation safety and general practices for patients, self, and others.
  • Demonstrates caring, excellence, leadership, pride, teamwork, integrity, and center-wide standards for service.
  • Provides all aspects of patient care based on established standards. Demonstrates competency in all procedures within the scope of practice, as appropriate to the ages of patients served.
  • Ability to obtain information and interpret information in terms of the patient’s needs, and an understanding of the range of treatment for patients.
  • Provide patient education regarding imaging procedures.
  • Demonstrates competency using PACS, Powershare, Epic, and other relevant computer applications.
  • Responsible for ensuring that proper maintenance of the x-ray machine is scheduled and performed as required.
  • Follows department guidelines according to JCAHO regulations
  • Responsible for maintaining radiographic equipment, reporting service issues, and troubleshooting problems.
  • Required to have good eye-hand coordination during radiology procedures.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize patient care according to hospital needs.
  • Continuous personal and professional growth and development, and education regarding technology and procedures.
  • Assist with training new hires and instruct students to ensure competency of staff and students.
  • Provides care for patients by maintaining a positive and professional culture.
  • Verifies patient identification before performing exams and ensures accuracy of orders.
Education, Experience And Qualifications
  • High School or GED required.
  • Satisfactory completion of a formal Radiologic Technology Program in an approved school.
  • Registered ARRT R (Radiography).
  • Licensed as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) in the State of Florida.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • Basic computer knowledge: ability to operate a PC, create/save/print documents, input data.
