Radiographer positions are available in levels 1-3 based on experience and education

General Description:

Under immediate to general supervision and direction of a mentor/preceptor, this entry-level position works to achieve the initial competencies required to deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patient populations for the purpose of aiding medical staff in the diagnosis, care, treatment and surveillance of simple to complex conditions, defects and/or diseases.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Utilize entry-level knowledge, abilities, skills, and available resources to provide safe, high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective patient-centric care and support services in various care settings, including inpatient facilities, outpatient practices, diagnostic/urgent care centers, and outreach clinics.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with procedures ordered by physicians.
  • Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary care team to achieve clinical outcomes and operational goals.
  • Use specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures following established guidelines.
  • Conduct post-procedure reviews to ensure completion, documentation, and quality standards are met.
  • Transfer images and data to archival systems, document findings, and prepare studies for physician reporting.
  • Perform quality control checks, cleaning, disinfecting, and maintenance per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
General Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:
Level 1:

Education: Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited program in cardiovascular or radiologic technology. Candidates within 6 weeks of graduation may be considered.

Experience: 0-3 years.

Certifications: Current BLS from the American Heart Association required upon hire. ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI credentials in the specialty required within 12 months.

Level 2:

Education: Associate’s degree from a CAAHEP accredited program.

Experience: 3-5 years.

Certifications: BLS required upon hire. Current ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI credentials in the specialty required upon hire or advancement.

Level 3:

Education: Associate’s degree from a CAAHEP accredited program.

Experience: At least 5 years.

Certifications: BLS required upon hire. Current ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI credentials in the specialty required upon hire or advancement.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Apply principles of cardiovascular/radiologic technology, medical imaging, terminology, patient positioning, and ethics. Work effectively as part of a team, communicate professionally, maintain confidentiality, exercise judgment, and handle multiple tasks calmly. Demonstrate understanding of anatomy, physiology, and specialty techniques, and perform data analysis and documentation with accuracy.
