**Radiographer positions are available in levels 1-3 based on experience and education**

General Description:

Under immediate to general supervision and direction of a mentor/preceptor, this entry-level position works to achieve the initial competencies required to deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patient populations for the purpose of aiding medical staff in the diagnosis, care, treatment and surveillance of simple to complex conditions, defects and/or diseases.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Utilize entry-level knowledge, abilities, skills and available resources to provide safe, high quality, efficient and cost-effective patient-centered care and support services in various care settings including inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic/urgent care centers, and outreach clinics.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician-ordered procedures.
  • Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary care team to achieve clinical outcomes and operational goals.
  • Utilize specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment and techniques to perform diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures following established guidelines.
  • Conduct post-procedure reviews with or without preceptor to ensure completeness, documentation, and quality standards are met.
  • Transfer images and data to archival systems, document findings, and prepare studies for physician reporting.
  • Perform quality control checks, cleaning, disinfecting, and user maintenance per manufacturer instructions and regulations.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development to maintain competencies and improve care.
General Responsibilities:
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Level 1):

Education: Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited program with emphasis in cardiovascular or radiologic technology. Candidates within 6 weeks of graduation may be considered.

Experience: 0-3 years.

Licenses/Certifications: Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire. Must meet eligibility requirements for ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI in the relevant specialty within 12 months.

Minimum Qualifications (Level 2):

Education: Associate's degree from a CAAHEP accredited program in the relevant specialty.

Experience: 3-5 years.

Licenses/Certifications: Current BLS and credentials in the relevant specialty required upon hire.

Minimum Qualifications (Level 3):

Education: Associate's degree from a CAAHEP accredited program.

Experience: At least 5 years.

Licenses/Certifications: Current BLS and credentials in the relevant specialty required upon hire.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of cardiovascular and radiologic technology principles, medical imaging, terminology, patient positioning, and ethics. Ability to work as part of a team, follow instructions, maintain accurate records, handle confidential information, multitask, stay calm under stress, and communicate professionally with staff and patients. Demonstrates initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Core understanding of anatomy, physiology, and relevant technology practices. Ability to apply technical skills to perform and analyze procedures with minimal supervision.
