Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque is seeking a Radiographer Assistant to support the imaging team during the evening shift. This part-time role involves patient check-in, exam preparation, and assisting with radiology procedures under supervision.

Enrollment in a Radiologic Technology program is required, along with BLS certification and mandatory reporting training. You will gain hands-on experience in a Magnet-designated hospital system with comprehensive services and growth opportunities within MercyOne

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a 2nd year student in an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire and every 2 years thereafter.
• Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Assist radiology team under supervision of licensed radiographer.
• Perform patient check-in, exam review, and preparation for visits.
• Provide patient education and assist with exams and procedures.
• Assist with patient transporting and related clerical tasks.

Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Radiographer Assistant! As a Radiographer Assistant at MercyOne, you will, under limited supervision, of a licensed radiographer the radiographer assistant performs a wide variety of routine duties including clerical, technical and patient related functions. The radiographer assistant is responsible for assisting members of the imaging team and providing a broad range of health care services such as: patient check-in, exam review, preparation for the visit, patient education, assistance with exams and procedures, and patient transporting. The radiographer assistant is trained to use a wide variety of radiographic equipment, computers, and software.

Schedule

• 16 hours a week
• Weekdays: 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm
• Every 3rd weekend: 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm

General Requirements

• Must be enrolled as a 2nd year student in an accredited Radiologic Technology program with current participation in radiology classes and clinical rotations.
• Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) will be required within 30 days of hire and every 2 years thereafter.
