Job summary

ExpressCare Urgent Care Centers is seeking licensed radiographers to join our Maryland team at Hyattsville and Largo locations. You will perform radiographic exams, educate patients, and uphold radiation safety while contributing to efficient patient flow.

Requirements include an associate degree or RT program, ARRT certification, Maryland Radiographer license, and CPR. A minimum of one year of clinical experience is preferred; weekend and holiday availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an approved Radiologic Technologist (RT) program is required.
• ARRT certification is required.
• Maryland state Radiographer license is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Minimum one year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic exams following established protocols and positioning.
• Educate patients on procedures and proper positioning prior to imaging.
• Practice radiation safety to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
• Assist with basic patient care as radiology workflow allows.
• Measure and record vital signs: blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, height and weight.
• Conduct basic lab procedures such as EKGs, urine collection, and nasal influenza swabs.

Job Responsibilities:

Performing Radiographic Exams:

• Taking x-rays while following established protocols and positioning techniques

Patient Education:

• Provide patients with explanations of procedures and appropriate positioning prior to performing the x-ray

Radiation Safety:

• Practicing radiation protection measures to minimize radiation exposure to patients and employees

Basic Patient Care:

• Assist with triaging, discharge, and other basic patient care as Radiology workflow allows

Vital sign measurement:

• Measure and record blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and height/weight

Basic lab procedures:

• Perform simple laboratory tests such as EKGs, urine specimen collection, and influenza nasal swabs

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

• Associate’s degree or equivalent (Required)
• Completion of an approved R.T program (Required)

Licenses & Certifications:

• ARRT certification (Required)
• Maryland State Radiographer License (Required)
• CPR Certification (Required)

Work Experience:

• Minimum one year of clinical experience in a physician’s office or hospital (preferred)

• Ability to work 12+ hour shifts, stand/walk for long periods, and lift 25 lbs.
• Must have scheduling flexibility, including weekends and holidays

Pay & Benefits:

• Competitive hourly pay: $35-$40, plus opportunities for overtime
• $2,500 sign-on bonus for full-time positions
