Job summary

ExpressCare Urgent Care Centers in Maryland is seeking licensed Radiographers to join a fast-paced team at Hyattsville and Largo. You will perform radiographic exams, educate patients, and uphold radiation safety while delivering compassionate care.

We require an Associate’s degree or equivalent, completion of an approved RT program, ARRT and Maryland Radiographer license, CPR, and at least one year of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an approved radiologic technologist program is required.
• Current ARRT certification and Maryland Radiographer License are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic exams following protocols and positioning techniques.
• Educate patients about procedures and correct positioning.
• Practice radiation safety to minimize exposure.
• Assist with triage, discharge, and basic patient care as workflow allows.
• Measure and record vital signs.
• Perform simple lab procedures such as EKGs and specimen collection.

We currently have immediate openings at our Hyattsville & Largo locations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing Radiographic Exams: Taking x-rays while following established protocols and positioning techniques
• Patient Education: Provide patients with explanations of procedures and appropriate positioning prior to performing the x-ray
• Radiation Safety: Practicing radiation protection measures to minimize radiation exposure to patients and employees
• Basic Patient Care: Assist with triaging, discharge, and other basic patient care as Radiology workflow allows
• Vital sign measurement: Measure and record blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and height/weight
• Basic lab procedures: Perform simple laboratory tests such as EKGs, urine specimen collection, and influenza nasal swabs
• Education:
• Associate’s degree or equivalent (Required)
• Completion of an approved R.T program (Required)
• Licenses & Certifications:
• Current ARRT certification (Required)
• Maryland State Radiographer License (Required)
• CPR Certification (Required)
• Work Experience:
• Minimum one year of clinical experience in a physician’s office or hospital (preferred)

• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Reliable transportation with the willingness to comply with the company travel policy
• Ability to work 12+ hour shifts, stand/walk for long periods, and lift 25 lbs.
• Must have scheduling flexibility, including weekends and holidays
• Competitive hourly pay: $35-$40, plus opportunities for overtime
• $2,500 sign-on bonus for full-time positions
