Job summary

ExpressCare Urgent Care Centers in Maryland is seeking a Radiographer to perform x-ray exams at our Hyattsville and Largo locations. You will follow established protocols, educate patients, and ensure radiation safety during procedures.

The role requires an ARRT license, Maryland Radiographer license, CPR, and completion of an approved RT program, with 1 year of clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent required.
• Completion of an approved radiologic technologist program.
• Current ARRT certification and Maryland State Radiographer license.
• CPR certification required.
• Minimum one year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Radiographic Exams following protocols and positioning techniques.
• Provide patient education on procedures and positioning prior to x-ray.
• Adhere to radiation safety practices to minimize exposure.
• Assist with basic patient care as radiology workflow allows.
• Measure and record vital signs (BP, HR, temperature, height/weight).
• Perform basic labs such as EKGs, urine collection, and influenza nasal swabs.

Job Title: Radiographer

We currently have immediate openings at our Hyattsville & Largo locations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing Radiographic Exams: Taking x-rays while following established protocols and positioning techniques
• Patient Education: Provide patients with explanations of procedures and appropriate positioning prior to performing the x-ray
• Radiation Safety: Practicing radiation protection measures to minimize radiation exposure to patients and employees
• Basic Patient Care: Assist with triaging, discharge, and other basic patient care as Radiology workflow allows
• Vital sign measurement: Measure and record blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and height/weight
• Basic lab procedures: Perform simple laboratory tests such as EKGs, urine specimen collection, and influenza nasal swabs

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

1. Associate’s degree or equivalent (Required)
2. Completion of an approved R.T program (Required)

Licenses & Certifications:

1. Current ARRT certification (Required)
2. Maryland State Radiographer License (Required)
3. CPR Certification (Required)

Work Experience:

1. Minimum one year of clinical experience in a physician's office or hospital (preferred)

Pay & Benefits:

• Competitive hourly pay: $35-$40, plus opportunities for overtime
