Job summary

Atlantic Health System in New Jersey is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic X-ray examinations using radiologic equipment under the direction of a Radiologist. You will generate high-quality images and prepare patient records to support accurate diagnoses and treatment planning.

The role requires graduation from an Accredited Radiography School, NJ RT license, ARRT certification, and BLS certification, with 0–3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging and treatment processes per guidelines.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain imaging equipment; ensure cleaning.
• Obtain patient history, explain procedures, and address questions.
• Maintain imaging equipment and monitor safety and patient comfort.
• Coordinate daily imaging procedures and adjust as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job description

Responsible for X-raying patient using radiologic equipment that produces radiographs (x-rays) of body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by the Radiologist. Generates high-quality images of patients in order to assist with diagnosis and treatment. Prepares and maintains records and files as directed

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Performs and provides appropriate imaging and treatment processes in accordance with state, federal, and professional guidelines.
2. Demonstrates knowledge of a variety of imaging equipment including setup, utilization, troubleshooting, and proper care and sanitization of all equipment.
3. Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures, and addresses patient queries or concerns.
4. Maintains all equipment for procedures, assesses safety, physical, and physiological comfort of patient.
5. Monitors need for procedure revisions and coordinates daily imaging procedures.
6. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• Graduate of an Accredited Radiography School.
• NJ State Radiologic Technologist (RT) license.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Relevant Experience:

• 0-3 years of experience as a Radiographer or relevant area.

Preferred:

• -Experience working in a Health Care Facility, Hospital System or relevant area.
