Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Radiographer to perform diagnostic X-ray procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist. You will ensure high-quality images, maintain patient records, and support accurate diagnoses while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Required qualifications include graduation from an accredited radiography program, NJ RT license, ARRT certification, and BLS. Prior hospital experience is preferred but not required, with a focus on patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

• Performs imaging procedures to produce diagnostic X-rays per Radiologist directions.
• Demonstrates knowledge of imaging equipment setup, use, troubleshooting, and cleaning.
• Obtains patient history, explains procedures, and addresses patient questions.
• Maintains equipment readiness and ensures patient safety and comfort.
• Coordinates daily imaging procedures and adapts as needed.

Job description

Responsible for X-raying patient using radiologic equipment that produces radiographs (x-rays) of body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by the Radiologist. Generates high-quality images of patients in order to assist with diagnosis and treatment. Prepares and maintains records and files as directed

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Performs and provides appropriate imaging and treatment processes in accordance with state, federal, and professional guidelines.
2. Demonstrates knowledge of a variety of imaging equipment including setup, utilization, troubleshooting, and proper care and sanitization of all equipment.
3. Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures, and addresses patient queries or concerns.
4. Maintains all equipment for procedures, assesses safety, physical, and physiological comfort of patient.
5. Monitors need for procedure revisions and coordinates daily imaging procedures.
6. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• Graduate of an Accredited Radiography School.
• NJ State Radiologic Technologist (RT) license.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Relevant Experience:

• 0-3 years of experience as a Radiographer or relevant area.

Preferred:

• -Experience working in a Health Care Facility, Hospital System or relevant area.
