Job summary

TerraPower Isotopes in Everett, WA is seeking a Manager, R&D Radiochemistry to lead the Radiochemistry Process Development organization, scale up chemical processes for long-term production of actinium-225, and support operation across radiochemistry labs.

The role requires strong leadership, safety and GLP focus, collaboration with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, and Program Management, and a commitment to high-performance teamwork and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in radiochemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering or similar.
• PhD with 5+ years of postgraduate laboratory experience in radiochemistry and related fields.
• MS with 7+ years of postgraduate laboratory experience in radiochemistry and related fields.
• Experience leading scientific or technical teams and resource planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Radiochemistry Process Development organization.
• Oversee design and execution of R&D campaigns for actinium-225 production.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Engineering, Operations, Production, Quality, Regulatory, Safety, and Program Management.
• Mentor team members with weekly or biweekly 1:1 interactions and provide feedback.
• Ensure GLP compliance, data quality, and safe practices in all activities.
• Drive continuous improvement and accountability within the radiochemistry lab and facilities.
