Job summary

Washington State University is seeking a Radiochemist to support research on chemical and isotope separations, characterize nuclear processes, and teach at least one undergraduate course per semester. The position involves working with radioactive materials in radiological areas and contributing to isotope production, nuclear energy research, and fuel cycle studies.

The role is full-time at the Nuclear Science Center on the Dodgen Research Facility campus in Pullman, WA.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in an appropriate related scientific or engineering discipline.
• PhD in a scientific or engineering field may be substituted for up to two years of the required work experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify and define nuclear-related research problems and design research approaches.
• Safely handle radiological materials, perform radiometric separations, and analyze samples.
