Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Radiochemistry, Nuclear Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry or related field completed within the last 5 years (or to be completed before start).
• Experience with radioactive materials and radiochemical techniques.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow written procedures.
• Excellent communication, writing, speaking, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work after hours on planned occasions.
• Ability to collaborate with other researchers.

Responsibilities

• Propose experiments to aid the IP program mission.
• Plan experiments meeting safety requirements and operational constraints.
• Develop and test methods for separation and purification of radionuclides.
• Document results and prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals.
• Prepare presentations to summarize findings for internal and external audiences.
• Follow conduct of operations.
