Job summary

City of Boulder seeks a Radio Systems Engineer to serve as the technical expert for the City’s P25 land mobile radio network (LMR) and related systems. You will ensure 24x7 availability, perform configuration, repair, and optimization, and support dispatch and regional interoperability.

Responsibilities include deploying code plugs, managing KMF, and coordinating with vendors and public safety agencies. A strong background in Motorola systems and advanced diagnostics is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively and work independently in teams.
• Experience interpreting diagnostic data and monitoring system performance.
• Ability to obtain OEM Advanced System Keys via testing processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical administration and lifecycle management of the LMR system.
• Configure and repair system to meet performance standards.
• Manage encryption Key Management Facility (KMF).
• Develop and deliver technical training for users and partners.
• On-Call rotation to provide 24x7 response for LMR issues.
