Job summary

RTX is seeking a RadioFrequency Production Test Engineer to join the Electronic Warfare Systems team in Goleta, CA. Onsite role focused on designing, developing, and validating advanced testing solutions for EW and RWR products. Active DoD Secret clearance required and a US citizenship.

Responsibilities include developing automated test systems, troubleshooting hardware, and reducing test time through data-driven analysis. Strong lab skills and experience with RF instrumentation are essential.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
• Experience in Test Engineering, Test Automation, Electronic Equipment Control, or Test Validation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and execution of automated test systems and validation procedures.
• Troubleshoot and provide accurate work instructions for the product hardware.
• Participate in projects to reduce test time, improve the test process through analysis of predictive metrics of trends, failure modes, and test yields.
• Develop test flows and contribute to test capacity analysis.
• Maintain changes to the test equipment technical data package which includes drawings, test instructions, test position manuals, and system software.
• Assist in non-routine fault isolation, diagnosis and repair of the product or test equipment.
• Support root cause and corrective action investigations and present findings, utilizing fault trees and knowledge point plans

What You Will Do

The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD - 181,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
