Overview

Radiance Technologies is seeking a Radio Frequency (RF) systems engineer to support the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) Technical Center, Research and Technology Directorate, Multi‑Domain Technologies Branch (MDTBr) office in Huntsville, AL. The engineer will assist in the design and development of Army science and technology and research and development programs that deliver RF capabilities to the warfighter.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑power RF subject‑matter expertise in areas such as power electronics, pulsed power drivers, power modulators, frequency‑ and bandwidth‑agile RF sources and antennas, electronic system coupling, interaction and effects, as well as in‑band and out‑of‑band coupling and interaction mechanisms.
• Perform analysis and modeling & simulation (M&S) to establish and verify system concepts using high‑power RF.
• Establish hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HWIL) simulations as needed to validate equipment functionality and system concepts.
• Derive and maintain system technical requirements.
• Participate in and provide technical guidance during system design activities.
• Provide oversight and/or perform complex integration activities as necessary.
• Assist with the development and execution of system tests and demonstrations.
• Exercise independent and professional judgment under moderate supervision in solving cost and scheduling problems.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering field.
• Proficiency with distributed aperture radar systems.
• Proficiency with radar testing equipment.
• U.S. citizenship with an active Secret clearance.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting RF‑related projects.
• High proficiency with high‑power RF theory, system engineering, and system development.

Desired Experience

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering field.
• U.S. citizenship with an active Top‑Secret/SCI clearance.
