Solidus Technical Solutions in Richardson, TX is seeking a Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer to support production and sustainment programs within our Advanced RF Electronics Design Department. The role requires an active Top Secret clearance and onsite work in Richardson, TX.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Math, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, or related STEM field.
• 8 years of experience analyzing RF data, fault isolation, and subsystem-level troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with RF test equipment including Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Power Meters, Oscilloscopes, and DMMs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct failure investigations and provide recommendations to address systemic issues and prevent recurrence
• Develop analysis tools and perform simulations to support problem identification and resolution
• Execute trade studies to optimize system performance and guide future development
• Collaborate closely with Systems Engineers to develop and implement technical solutions
• Identify, manage, and mitigate technical risks
• Generate technical reports and present findings to management and customers
• Other duties as assigned

Job Description

This position requires onsite work in Richardson, TX and an active Top Secret security Clearance. Candidates who do not hold this clearance are not eligible for hire.

Solidus is seeking a Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer to support production and sustainment programs within our Advanced RF Electronics Design Department. The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge across multiple RF platforms, including Active Electronically Scanned Arrays (AESA), Digital Receiver Exciter (DREX) Subassemblies, and a wide range of RF measurement equipment. In this role, you will collaborate across engineering disciplines to diagnose, investigate, and resolve complex system and subsystem issues arising during production, testing, and field operations. This position requires strong technical leadership, hands-on troubleshooting skills, and the ability to mentor team members.

Day in the Life:

• Conduct failure investigations and provide recommendations to address systemic issues and prevent recurrence

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Top Secret clearance is required
• Bachelor's Degree in Math, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field
• 8 years of experience analyzing RF data, fault isolation, and subsystem-level troubleshooting
• Advanced experience using RF test equipment including Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Power Meters, Oscilloscopes, and DMMs
• Hands-on experience with RF/Antenna testing in compact ranges and anechoic chambers
• Experience calibrating and maintaining chamber equipment
• Extensive knowledge of Active Electronically Scanned Arrays (AESA)
• Deep understanding of Digital Receiver Exciter (DREX) Subassemblies
• Experience supporting production programs
• Proficiency generating analysis tools with MATLAB
• Cultural fit amongst a collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience supporting operations across multiple site locations in a fast-paced production environment
• Experience generating and presenting preliminary and critical design reviews
• Prior experience conducting technical briefs or presentations
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
