Job summary

Amtrak is seeking a Radio Maintainer in Maryland to install, test, repair and program radio equipment across sites. You will perform routine inspections and support wireless communications systems for safety-critical operations.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2 years of land mobile radio experience, FCC knowledge, and a valid driver's license; computer and networking skills are a plus, with opportunities under a collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required with additional technical school training.
• 2 years experience in licensed land mobile radio communications.
• Familiar with FCC rules and regulations; testing, repairing and maintaining wireless equipment.
• Prefer proficiency with computers and networking.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Install base stations, mobile radios, and associated equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance inspections of radio sites.
• Test, repair and program radio equipment as assigned.
