Job summary

Salem Media Group is seeking a part-time board-operator in Arlington, VA to manage broadcast boards, execute formats, and support production tasks. You will maintain logs, edit commercials and features, and ensure compliance with FCC rules under the Chief Operator's direction.

The role requires knowledge of AXIA Consoles, Adobe Audition, and WideOrbit Automation, with flexibility for overnights and weekends. Prior broadcast experience is essential and independence is valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months radio broadcast experience required.
• AXIA/WideOrbit experience preferred.
• College preferred but not required.
• Flexibility for overnights and weekends is a must.
• Ability to travel in all weather to work assignments is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor broadcast boards.
• Execute formats as designed by management.
• Maintain logs and edit commercials/features.
• Handle production and audio duties, including recording.
• Protect FCC license, perform EAS tests and log transmitter readings.
• Assist staff and other departments as needed.
• Proficient with AXIA Consoles and Adobe Audition.
• Familiar with WideOrbit Automation system.
