Job summary

IEA Kenosha Plant is seeking a Lead the Cooling Section to supervise and guide a team on a shift, ensuring quality and timely output. You will develop work plans, interpret assembly specs, and drive improvements while adhering to Six Sigma and cost controls.

The role requires 2+ years in manufacturing leadership, familiarity with radiator assembly, and the ability to train staff, enforce safety rules, and coordinate with other departments.

Qualifications

  • Two or more years of manufacturing experience, preferably as a lead/supervisor.
  • Related technical training recommended but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assigns work according to production schedule and assists employees.
  • Lead department with daily stretching and afternoon meetings.
  • Go over daily workload with first shift lead to maintain flow between shifts.
  • Ensure production output targets are understood by the team.
  • Initiates or reviews job orders and interprets assembly specifications.
  • Keeps team informed about rules, policies and objectives.
  • Monitor work-in-progress and verify completion to meet IEA standards.
  • Manage work order closures and inventory control transactions.
  • Advise management on radiator assembly issues and suggest improvements.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and direct repairs as needed.
  • Identify non-conforming material and report to quality using proper forms.
  • Direct/oversee training to maintain staff proficiency.
  • Ensure work areas and tools are clean and properly maintained.
  • Promote safe work practices and participate in safety programs.
  • Ensure calibration of department tools and adherence to 6S.
  • Coordinate with other departments for effective interfaces.
