Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking a Radiation Therapy Technologist to administer prescribed radiation therapy following established standards and safety guidelines. You will work with supervision to deliver safe, high-quality care and maintain patient records.

Major duties include planning and delivering radiation according to chart specifications, monitoring patients and equipment during treatment, assisting in simulation, and maintaining departmental records and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and delivers a prescribed course of radiation to patient. Checks prescription, diagnosis, chart and patient-identification prior to treatment.
• Administers radiation therapy treatments observing radiation safety measures for patients and personnel.
• Monitors patient and equipment during treatment. Maintains patient markings and simulation room.
• Maintains departmental records and schedules patient appointments.
• Assists in care and maintenance of facilities, equipment and supplies and reports hazards.
