Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Radiation Therapist to administer prescribed radiation therapy following established standards and safety protocols. You will collaborate with the supervisor, ensure patient safety, and contribute to high-quality, cost-effective care in Radiation Oncology.

The role requires ARRT Radiation Therapy certification and MA licensure, plus strong communication and patient service skills. On-site schedule includes day shifts with potential signing bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• Must be ARRT-registered in Radiation Therapy and MA licensed.
• Minimum five years of continuous clinical experience in a comparable setting.
• Experience with SBRT, IMRT, KV imaging and QA programs.
• Proficiency with Radiation Oncology information systems such as ARIA or Impac.

Responsibilities

• Operate the clinical treatment or simulation unit efficiently.
• Plan, prepare and deliver prescribed radiation with correct chart and patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures to patients and reassure during treatment.
• Prepare room and equipment according to chart specifications.
• Monitor patient and equipment during treatment and maintain patient markings.
• Maintain departmental records and schedules and update charts as required.
