The role requires ARRT registry eligibility, active professional license, and BLS certification, with 1 year to obtain ARRT registration after hire. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety, accurate treatment delivery, and meticulous record-keeping while maintaining ALARA principles.

Formación

• Professional license with state of practice is required.
• Professional certification is required.
• ARRT registry eligibility with attainment within 1 year of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver the prescribed planned course of radiation therapy and verify patient identity.
• Maintain records of daily treatment and required department records.
• Observe ALARA and radiation safety measures for patients and staff.
• Transfer patients safely between platforms and maintain patient markings.
• Document charges and support coding; perform chart audits when designated.
• Educate patients about treatment procedures and coordinate treatment times and appointments.
• Monitor patients for unusual reactions and coordinate hospital transport for inpatients.
