Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Radiation Therapist to administer treatments per physician order in a high‑volume oncology setting. You will reproduce setups with positioning aids, keep close contact with patients, and document any changes in the IMPAC system, ensuring accurate billing and dose additions.

Responsibilities include tumor localization with radiographic techniques, planning CTs, and using On Board Imaging for field verification.

Qualifications

• ARRT registry-eligible or ARRT license.
• IDNS license.
• BLS Certified.
• Radiation Oncology Certificate and/or Associates degree in Radiation Therapy Technology.

Responsibilities

• Administers Radiation Therapy treatments per physician prescription and plan.
• Reproduces setup in treatment room using positioning aides.
• Maintain patient contact and report any errors or changes to supervisor.
• Record treatment variations in IMPAC electronic chart; ensure billing accuracy.
• Localize tumor volumes with radiographic techniques and perform planning CTs.
• Utilize On Board Imaging for field size verification and dose calculations.
• Perform daily/weekly QA checks on equipment and report malfunctions.
• Educate patients about treatments and manage side effects in collaboration with clinicians.
• Instruct and supervise Radiation Therapy students during training.
