Job summary

The role requires ARRT certification within 90 days, state licensure within 90 days, and BLS certification, with a strong emphasis on accurate data entry, equipment knowledge, and patient communication.

Qualifications

• Must have computer skills and dexterity for data entry and retrieval.
• Proficient with Windows-style applications, keyboard, and role-specific software.
• Effective verbal and written communication with patients and team members.
• Understanding of all equipment used and its care.
• Ability to chart accurately and maintain patient therapy data.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
• Extensive knowledge of radiation therapy concepts and administration.

Responsibilities

• Administers radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.
• Documents port films and treatment charts.
• Requests exams during therapy such as simulations for field changes.
• Maintains daily patient treatment schedule.
• Performs quality control and weekly chart checks.
• Performs daily treatment machine quality assurance.
• Documents and submits billing for patients under treatment daily.
• Exhibits flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.
• Other related duties as required.
