Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Louisiana seeks a Radiation Therapist to administer daily radiotherapy treatments under supervision, accurately position beams and deliver prescribed doses. You will participate in clinical orientation and quality control to support high-quality cancer care.

The role requires graduation from an accredited radiation therapy program, ARRT eligibility or licensure, CPR, and good interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program.
• ARRT eligible or licensed as RT(T) in Louisiana preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Administers daily radiotherapy treatments to patients as directed by a radiation oncologist.
• Accurately positions beam to match designated tumor volume and delivers prescribed dose.
• Images tumor volume and outlines target on patient surface under supervision.
• Records data with field parameters, patient dimensions, and contour acquisition for dosimetric calculations.
• Participates in orientation of new therapists and students; supports QA and CQI activities.
• Maintains clean, safe, organized work environment; adheres to safety and infection control policies.
• Rotational call as required.
