Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Radiation Therapist to perform treatment delivery and patient care in the Radiation Oncology Department. The role supports scheduling, documentation in ARIA and IDX systems, and adherence to Lahey Clinic policies while delivering care with professionalism within a team-based environment.

The position requires ARRT (T) registration, MA DPH licensure, and 1–2 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Radiation Therapy Program.
• Must be ARRT (T) registered in Radiation Therapy.
• Must be licensed by the MA Department of Public Health (DPH).

Responsibilities

• Applies principles of basic radiation physics interactions and protection.
• Delivers the prescribed planned course of radiation therapy treatment.
• Checks prescription, diagnosis, chart and patient identification.
• Administers prescribed or advised by a physician, ointments, drops or lotions specific to the Radiation Therapy.
• Explains procedures to patients and means of communication during treatment.
• Prepares room and equipment for patient setup per protocol.
• Maintains and logs daily treatments in the patient’s records.
• Utilizes QA programs to encompass all aspects of treatment delivery.
• Maintains and provides annual documentation of required CEC credits for licensure.
• Participates in the clinical instruction of RTT students.
