Join our team as a Radiation Therapist (PRN) at The Jewish Hospital, part of Mercy Health.

Job Summary

This role oversees the daily operations of the treatment area, ensuring quality patient care and adherence to radiation therapy safety standards. The Radiation Therapist collaborates with Radiation Oncologists, Physicists, and Managers to deliver high-quality care and assist in planning services aligned with hospital objectives.

Essential Functions

• Set up treatment rooms, devices, and parameters as ordered by the Radiation Oncologist.
• Identify and monitor patients during treatment.
• Reinforce instructions and maintain patient markings.
• Position patients according to prescriptions, requiring physical effort and mental focus.
• Coordinate treatment area activities and scheduling.
• Document all procedures thoroughly in treatment records.

Minimum Qualifications

Licensure/Certification:

• State license in Radiation Oncology (required)
• ARRT Radiation Oncology Certification (required)
• CPR Certification (required)

Experience:
