Job Summary:

This role manages the daily operations of the treatment area to ensure quality patient care, radiation therapy standards, and safety. It involves active patient care and planning services to meet hospital objectives. The Radiation Therapist works under the guidance of the Radiation Oncologist, Physicist, and Manager to deliver high-quality care.

Essential Functions:

• Sets up treatment rooms, devices, and parameters as ordered by the Radiation Oncologist.
• Identifies patients and monitors them during treatment.
• Reinforces instructions and maintains patient markings.
• Positions patients according to prescriptions, requiring physical effort and mental focus.
• Coordinates treatment area activities and scheduling.
• Documents thoroughly in treatment records.

Education & Licensure:

• License in State of practice in Radiation Oncology (required).
• Radiation Oncology Certification from the ARRT (required).
• CPR Certification (required).

Experience:
