Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Staff Radiation Therapist for the Radiation Oncology Department to apply ionizing radiation per prescription and physician instruction. Operate radiation-producing equipment with strict safety measures and perform precise, complex procedures in a patient-centric setting.

The role requires ensuring accurate patient setup, documenting in EMR, and supporting continuous quality control.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or accredited program in radiation therapy.
• ARRT-T Radiation Therapy certification required on hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent as listed (ARC-BLS or BLS-Instructor).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiation Therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver precise therapy to designated treatment areas per physician order.
• Ensure safety to patients and staff with radiation protection practices and proper PPE.
• Document all procedures in the EMR and participate in quality control activities.
• Participate in on-call rotation and contribute as a clinical instructor for RTT/RTR students.
