Job summary

Wellstar Health Systems, Inc. seeks a Staff Radiation Therapist in the Radiation Oncology Department to apply ionizing radiation per prescription. You will operate radiation-producing equipment with safety and perform precise procedures to support patient care.

Requirements include an Associate degree or accredited program and ARRT Radiation Therapy certification; minimum 2 years’ experience preferred. On-site role with patient-centered responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiation Therapy or an accredited program.
• Minimum 2 years experience in Radiation Therapy preferred.
• ARRT Radiation Therapy certification required at hire or upon eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Delivers precise therapy to designated treatment areas.
• Performs patient assessment and treatment setup per physician instructions.
• Documents care in the EMR and follows radiation safety procedures.
• Participates in quality control monitoring and safety checks.
• Adapts care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and educates patients/families on side effects.
