Job summary

Preferred candidates have an associate degree or JRCERT-certified training, plus AHA BLS. The position includes ongoing professional development and collaboration across the radiation oncology team.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or required certification; JRCERT approved school.
• Less than one year as staff therapist in a radiation therapy department.
• AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider, Radiation Therapist - Reg.
• Special Training: Simulator, CT-simulation, computerized linear accelerators.

Responsibilities

• Prepare immobilization devices and position patients for therapy.
• Verify beam parameters and treatment plans.
• Record and verify treatments; ensure accurate data.
• Acquire CT datasets for patient positioning and contours.
• Perform daily QA on accelerators, simulator, and CT.
• Educate and coordinate with patients and care teams.
• Schedule patients and assist with billing information.
• Participate in training of affiliate students.
