The role supports the radiation oncology team and ensures correct placement using verification films and charted prescriptions. Responsibilities include documenting treatment data, entering charges, maintaining statistics for department planning, and collaborating with staff to optimize patient throughput and care

Formación

• Specialized Diploma in Radiation Therapy from an AMA-approved program.
• Experience: 1 year preferred; new graduates considered.
• RT - Registered Technologist (Radiology) with ARRT certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare patients for radiation treatment according to chart directions.
• Perform simulation on patients for setup of daily radiation treatments.
• Deliver radiation treatments per chart specifications with verification films to document placement.
• Document simulation and treatment data in patient charts and ensure compliance with prescription.
• Maintain daily statistics for review with the Chief Radiation Therapist and assist in department planning.
