Qualifications

• Graduate of CAHEA-accredited educational program.
• ARRT registry eligible or active certification in Radiation Therapy.
• Massachusetts license in Radiation Therapy.
• Supervisory/mentoring responsibilities may be involved.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients to maximize compliance with the plan of care and provides family education when needed.
• Monitors patient response to treatment and refers for appropriate management as indicated.
• Administers radiation therapy safely and accurately; monitors and reports reactions and therapeutic responses.
• Positions, immobilizes, and aligns patients per treatment plan and resolves setup issues.
• Maintains logs and daily treatment records with accurate documentation of procedures.
• Demonstrates knowledge of scheduling, treatment, and billing procedures involved in therapy.
• Applies QA program to all aspects of treatment delivery and patient care.
• Instructs and orients new therapists, students, and other staff; attends meetings and CE activities.
