Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Round Rock, TX is seeking a Radiation Therapist to join our full-time team, Mon-Fri 8a-5p. The Radiation Therapist, supervised by a Radiation Oncologist, performs radiation therapy under established protocols.

You will operate Truebeam and CT simulations, communicate with patients using AIDET, prepare treatment areas, and support scheduling and training of new staff.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• ARRT-T Radiation Therapy certification required.
• 2 years of experience in radiation therapy preferred.
• Ability to communicate with patients and work within established protocols.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality radiation therapy procedures according to exam protocol.
• Uses AIDET to communicate with patients and assess needs.
• Prepares patient and area, positions patient, and sets exposure factors.
• Adheres to safety, infection-control, and radiation policies and procedures.
• Runs treatment machines (Truebeam) and CT simulations proficiently.
• Provides mentorship and training for new hire therapists and supports supervision when needed.
