Job summary

Salina-Regional-Health-Center is seeking a Lead CT Simulation Radiation Therapist to serve as the department's primary clinical and technical resource for CT simulation. The role oversees CT simulation activities, workflow, scheduling, and staff, ensuring high-quality, reproducible simulation for treatment planning.

The Lead provides clinical direction to PRN, traveling, and student therapists, coordinates protocols, and ensures accurate transfer of images and information to the treatment

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology program.
• Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy, Radiologic Sciences, Medical Imaging, or a directly related radiation therapy/imaging specialty required.
• One year of clinical Radiation Therapy experience, including demonstrated CT simulation experience.
• Experience serving as a clinical resource, preceptor, mentor, or lead in radiation therapy or CT simulation.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and technical oversight of CT simulation activities and procedures.
• Direct and mentor PRN, traveling, and student therapists during CT simulation.
• Coordinate daily workflow, patient scheduling, room utilization, and staffing.
• Ensure accurate image transfer to the treatment planning system and maintain standards.
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, medical physicists, and therapists to resolve complex issues; support QA and accreditation activities.
• May provide direct radiation therapy treatment as needed.

Job description

The Lead CT Simulation Radiation Therapist serves as the department’s primary clinical and technical resource for CT simulation and is responsible for the clinical, technical, quality, and operational oversight of CT simulation activities. The position applies advanced knowledge of radiation therapy, cross-sectional anatomy, CT imaging, treatment-planning principles, patient positioning, immobilization, and simulation protocols to support accurate and reproducible simulation for radiation treatment planning. The Lead provides clinical direction and oversight to PRN, traveling, and student radiation therapists during CT simulation; coordinates daily workflow, patient scheduling, room utilization, and staffing; selects appropriate CT protocols; and ensures accurate transfer of images and treatment-related information to the treatment planning system. The Lead collaborates with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, medical physicists, and radiation therapists to resolve complex simulation and positioning issues, maintains CT simulation standards and procedures, and supports quality improvement and accreditation activities. The Lead may also provide direct radiation therapy treatment as operational needs require.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology program
• Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy, Radiologic Sciences, Medical Imaging, or a directly related radiation therapy/imaging specialty required
• One year of clinical Radiation Therapy experience, including demonstrated CT simulation experience
• Experience serving as a clinical resource, preceptor, mentor, or lead in radiation therapy or CT simulation

Required Registration/License/Certification

• Registered Radiation Therapist, RT(T), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or registry eligible
• Kansas License for Radiology Technology
• Basic Life Support certification will be accepted from either American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Health Care Provider, or Basic Life Support (American Heart Association-Health Care Provider), or successfully completes within the first 90 days of employment

Schedule-Shift-Hours Full Time - Day Shift - Clinic hours 8am-4:30pm，closed on major holidays. Call rotation，including holiday rotation.
